William Taylor

William J. “Bill” Taylor Jr., 58, of Peoria, passed away at 10:12 a.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at his home.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with the Rev. Joseph H. Cherry Sr. and the Rev. Alphonso Lyons Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Bill was born on January 28, 1957 in Jackson, MS, a son of William James and Juanita (Hill) Taylor. They preceded him in death. He was formerly married to Wanda Guyton and was a longtime companion of Anita Scott.
He is survived by his daughter, Anise Taylor of Peoria; sons, Jonathan Taylor of Orlando, FL, Jacoby (Chevodkia Wade) Taylor and Jordan Taylor, all of Peoria; brothers, Willie J. (Betty) Taylor and Lymuell (Juanita) Taylor, all of Peoria; sisters, Shirley (Solomon) Taylor, Leola Taylor-Clark, Delois Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor and Thomas (Annquinette) Taylor, all of Peoria; and four grandchildren.
Bill was a graduate and basketball star of Manual High School Class of 1976. He was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Peoria and volunteered with their food pantry.
He was last employed as an installer with Getz Fire Equipment Company and was formerly employed with FedEx, Caterpillar, SC2 Services & Solutions and Diamond-Star Motors, through Intra-Plant Maintenance.
