Veronda (Evatt) Wilkinson

Veronda Kaye (Evatt) Wilkinson, 68, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday March 10, 2022. She was born on January 5, 1954 in Little Rock, AR the daughter of Erlie and Bennie Mayo Evatt.

She was a volunteer at the Salvation Army & the South Side Mission. In the 1990's she was a co-cook with her mother at the South Side Mission.

Veronda is survived by one daughter Michelle Wilkinson of Peoria; one son Chris Wilkinson of Peoria Heights; three grandchildren Khimii Moton, Veronjanae Baker, Ernest L. Baker V; one great-granddaughter Iarra; one sister Ruth (Bill) Mathis of Brimfield and one brother Steven Evatt of Peoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Leonard Evatt, Edward Evatt and Harry Evatt.

A visitation will be held on Friday March 18, 2022 from 1pm to 2pm at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. A celebration of life and time of sharing will begin at 2pm. Cremation Rites will follow the services.
