Thelma Brugger

Thelma Lucille Brugger, 94, of Peoria, passed away at 10:48 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Farmington Country Manor.
She was born on July 14, 1923, in Peoria, a daughter of Herman and Maude (Jones) Schuster. She married Lloyd Brugger on May 30, 1941 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2011 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Steven L.; grandson, John Brugger; and sister, Shirley Shane.
Thelma is survived by her children, Lloyd Duane (Edna) of Weyers Cave, VA, David (Darlene) of Hanna City, Dennis (Patty) of Bradford, Holly (Terry) Yousey of Lowville, NY and Laura S. Brugger of Fairbanks, AK; daughter-in-law, Marrianne Brugger of Benton; brother, Ralph Jones of Morton; thirteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Peoria. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and the Gideon Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be private. There will be no public visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made in Thelma’s memory to Gideons International.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria.
