Stanley Willms

Stanley G. Willms, 88, of Peoria, passed away at 7:22 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Pastor Joey Watt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Stanley was born on May 7, 1928 in Peoria, a son of Benjamin and Wylma (Sumner) Willms. He married Patricia Clark in 1950. She preceded him in death in 1990. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; niece, Marybeth Willms; and great nephew, Chad Gunter.
He is survived by his sister, Eleanor Barthell of Peoria; half-sister, Sharon (Bill) Moyers of Canton; half-brother, Gary Willms of Chillicothe; step-brothers, Ernie and Mick Gray of Utah; and several nieces and nephews.
Stanley was a U.S. Army veteran, enlisted from January 9, 1947 to May 21, 1948 and served in Panama. He retired as a Gas Service Technician for CILCO and was affiliated with El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria.
Memorial contributions may be made in Stanley’s name to the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate or El Vista Baptist Church.
