Sharon Harper, age 71, of Peoria Heights, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at UnityPoint Methodist Hospital in Peoria.
Sharon was born on December 28, 1944 to Horace and Sylvia (Hull) Fisher. She married Benjamin F. Harper in Galion, OH on October 6, 1962, and he survives.
Surviving Sharon are her daughters; Stacy Harper of Mason City and Shelli (John) Rickard of San Jose, IL; son, Chris (Lori) Harper of Peoria Heights; and her grandchildren Morgan, Michael, Megan, Mason, Austin, Emily, Bennet and Skylar.
Sharon was preceded in death by her daughter Dana Harper.
Sharon spent over a decade as a dietary director at Manor Care and in her free time enjoyed traveling and camping. She had a passion for animals, especially her own, but her true passion in life was her children and grandchildren. Sharon never missed a school event and supported her family in everything they did. She was a wonderful mother and will be truly missed.
"Mom, we may not have the words to thank you for everything you've done for us. The sacrifices you've made, the love and care you've given...but no matter what, you'll always have our respect, gratitude, and most especially, our love. You are deeply missed and my heart is very heavy. We love you always mommy."
It was Sharon's wish to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held at her home on June 5, 2016 at 2:00 pm.
Memorials in honor of Sharon may be made to the family.
