Shadrach Bernius

Shadrach M. “Shad” Bernius, 20, of Peoria, passed away at 11:49 p.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded, following services.
Shad was born in Peoria on March 4, 1991, a son of Teren Johnson and Angela Bernius. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
He is survived by his parents of Peoria; girlfriend, Chelsea Edwards of Peoria; brothers, Khadeem Smith of Springfield and Trey and Tyler Owens of Peoria; sisters, Taylor Owens of Peoria and Eboni Johnson of Alabama; stepfather, Charles Owens of Peoria; maternal grandfather, Michael (Phyllis) Bernius of Vermont, IL; maternal grandmother, Veronica (Steven) Killion of Peoria; paternal grandmother, Annie Peary of Peoria; granny, Diane Griffin of Peoria; aunts, Nikki (Tom) Krischel of Dwight and Rhonda, Richelle and Danielle of Peoria; cousins, Dedric, Devon, Daveon, Deidre and Brennen; and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Side Bank for the care of his unborn daughter, Dominique Alexandra Bernius.
