Ruth Fitchpatrick

Ruth I. Fitchpatrick, 88, of Bartonville, formerly of Canton, passed away at 1:54 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Chaplain Mary Jo Zacher officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bartonville.
Ruth was born on June 28, 1926 in Sugarville, a daughter of James and Etta (Linn) Flambers. She married Wayne E. Fitchpatrick on August 21, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1984 in Peoria. She later married Eugene Thompson. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; and daughter in-law, Pamela Fitchpatrick.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorna (George) Shores of Springfield, MO, Sue Buckley of East Peoria and Tammy (Darryl) Hoopingarner of Bartonville; sons, Danny (Debbie) Fitchpatrick of Norwood and Odis Fitchpatrick of Pekin; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Ruth retired at the age of 80 in Bartonville. She loved her family dearly and was extremely dedicated to them.
Memorial contributions may be made to the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
