Roy Windsor

December 22, 1931 — August 15, 2018

Roy L. “Bud” Windsor, 86, of Peoria, passed away on August 15, 2018 at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, with Pastor John Hopwood officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Grace Presbyterian Church. An additional visitation will be a half hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Bud was born on December 22, 1931 in Springfield, the son of Paul and Marie (Huffman) Windsor. He married Elizabeth Schumacher on June 12, 1954 in Peoria. She survives.
He is also survived by his children, David S. Windsor of Peoria, Tim (Amy) Windsor of Peoria and Carolyn (Jim) Martin of Frankfort; sister, Judith Edwards of Crossville, TN; and grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) Kazmierzak, Michael Martin and Anna, Peter and Emma Windsor.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and son, James “Jim” Windsor.
He owned and operated Windsor Residential Real Estate Appraisals. Prior to opening his business in 1981, he worked for S & S Builders Hardware and Home Federal Savings and Loan.
Bud was an elder at both First Presbyterian Church and later at Grace Presbyterian Church. He served on the advisory board of the Salvation Army, as well as, the Peoria Symphony Board. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Peoria.  He enjoyed to vacation in the North Woods and fish.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bud’s memory to Grace Presbyterian Church, Salvation Army or Apostolic Christian Skylines.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
