Ronald D. Evans, 64, of Peoria, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Pastor Deveraux Hubbard officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Following services, cremation rites will be accorded.
Ronald was born on April 22, 1950 in Peoria, the son of Roscoe and Lura Mae (Kimmons) Evans. His mother preceded him in death.
He is survived by his father, Roscoe Evans of Peoria; daughters, Erica (Christopher) Lockett of Bloomington and Andrea (Jeremy) Wilson of Dallas, TX; grandson, CJ Lockett of Bloomington; granddaughters, Layla and Loren Wilson of Dallas; and sister, Leha Young of Peoria.
Ronald was raised at St. Paul Baptist Church in Peoria. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Illinois State University. Through tutoring, he helped others with their education to achieve their goals.
The family would like to thank the staff of El Paso Healthcare Center and BroMenn Medical Center for their wonderful care.
