Robert Stieghorst

Robert “Bob” D. Stieghorst, 89, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 1:50 a.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Unity Point Proctor in Peoria.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. There will be no visitation.
Bob was born on February 4, 1928 in Peoria, a son of A. Fred and Mary Helen (Crews) Stieghorst. They preceded him in death, along with his sister, June Siebels.
He is survived by his brother, Fred Stieghorst of Weslaco, TX; nieces, Kathy Rogers of Paulsbo, WA, Becky Hansen  and Lynn Brender, both of Peoria; special companion, Irene Carey of Peoria; and special friends, Susie and John Long.
Bob worked as a lineman for Cilco for many years. He was a woodcarver and loved animals. He was kind and generous, but a very private man.
Memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to the Peoria Humane Society.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria.
