Phyllis Irene Emert, 88, of Peoria, passed away at 2:51 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at her residence.
She was born on January 1, 1925 in Peoria, a daughter of Alphonso and Bessie (Beebe) Emert. They preceded her in death, along with six brothers, Robert, Harvey, Joseph, Donald, Gerald and Larry Emert.
Phyllis is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Moushon of Peoria, Marian (R-B) Smith of Peoria Heights, Bernice Patterson of Washington and Geraldine Counterman of Peoria.
She attended the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception and retired as an employee with the Peoria County Courthouse.
There will be no public visitation or service. Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis’ memory to the American Heart Association.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
