Patricia Kiefer

Patricia Marie Kiefer, 81, of Peoria, passed away at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be at 11: 00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Bartonville, where she was a member. Reverend Stephen Barch will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Pat was born on April 27, 1937, in Peoria, the daughter of Walter C. and Kathryn M. (Bruketta) Behrens. She married the love of her life and soul mate, Bernard F. Kiefer, in Peoria on June 29, 1957. He preceded her death on March 21, 2001, in Tucson, AZ. She was also preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers, Timothy and Thomas Behrens.
She is survived by her children, Brenda (Tim) Smith of Bartonville and Scott Kiefer of Rochford, SD; and grandson, Ryan (Sarah) Smith.
Pat enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband and family. She liked to cross stitch, read, play cards and games. She had an infectious smile and hug for everyone.
She was employed at Caterpillar in the steno pool for several years. She was a secretary at Trinity Presbyterian Church and volunteered for the American Lung Association in Peoria and Tucson, AZ. The job she enjoyed the most was that of being a grandmother to Ryan.

Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
