Patricia Boland

Patricia “Pat” Boland, 91, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 12:35am on March 18, 2021 at Buehler Memorial Home.  Pat was born March, 14, 1930, in Moline, IL to Francis Vincent Farrell and Louise (Armstrong) Farrell.  Her loving adoptive parents were Faye Imogene and Clarence Schoor.

She grew up in Eureka, IL, Ottawa, IL and Phoenix, AZ.

She married Charles “Chuck” E. Boland in Lacon, IL on September 9, 1948.

Pat was owner/operator of “Pat’s Style Nook” in Peoria, IL for 45 years.

She took great pride in the beauty and spiritual well-being of others during her lifetime.

Pat and Chuck were charter members of Holy Family Parish/school where they were members of “Holy Family Players.”

She is survived by one sister, Ramona Farrell Hawkins of Tempe, AZ., a daughter, Dianne (Donald) Schmidt of St, Augustine, FL. and grandchildren:  Ginamarie (Michael) Staley of Spartanburg, SC,

Monie Applegate of Williamsville, NY, Heidi (Theofanis) Pantazis of Marietta, GA.,

Melissa (Matt) Shane of Dunlap, IL., Bryan(Merry) Boland of Dunlap, IL., Tricia (Jake) Allen of Glasford, IL., Charlie (Jennifer) Boland of Pekin, IL., and Noah Brown of Peoria, IL.  Also surviving are 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Boland, twin sons, Fredrick and Edward Boland, her biological parents and her loving adoptive parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Our family would like to express gratitude for the kind, loving and compassionate care she received from the dedicated caregivers at Buehler Memorial Home.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Unity Church of Peoria, IL, St. Jude Children’s Hospital of Peoria, IL or donors charity of choice.  A memorial celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a later date.
