Opalee Copeland

Opalee Copeland, 98, of Peoria, Illinois passed away on Wednesday July 5, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Skyline Nursing of Peoria. She was born on August 24, 1924 in Johnson City, Illinois. The daughter of Scott and Eunice (Ray) Smith. Opalee married Charles Copeland on August 22, 1942 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 2009.

She was a member of the Fellowship Bible Church of Peoria and enjoyed singing.

Opalee is survived by one son Charles (Brenda) Copeland of Palm Bay, Florida; one daughter Lisa Mason of Charleston, Illinois; one daughter-in-law Constance Copeland of Peoria, Illinois; two grandchildren Paul (Synthia) Copeland, Aaron (Cecilia) Copeland; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren  

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Robin Copeland, four brothers; three sisters and one infant brother.

A graveside service will be held on July 12, 2023 at 11:00am at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, Illinois. Pastor Jason Alligood will officiate the service.
