Norman Boehm

Norman H. Boehm, 89, of La Salle passed away at 3:27 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Peru. Larry Endicott, an elder of Jehovah’s Witnesses, will officiate.
Mr. Boehm was born in Chicago on May 10, 1922, a son of Ernst and Martha (Michael) Boehm. They preceded him in death, along with his brother, Roy. He married Hazel Ruth Hines on June 6, 1945 and she also preceded him in death. They were both Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his son, Donald Boehm of St. Charles; daughters, Diane (Richard) Barnella of North Wilkesboro, NC and Loretta (David) Helson of Peru; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.
Before moving to Illinois Valley in 1980, he was employed with Wahler Brother's Hardware in Chicago. After leaving Chicago, he owned and operated his own handyman service. He was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria.
