Norine Pfanz

Norine Marie Pfanz, 82, of Pekin, passed away at 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
Norine was born in Pekin on July 11, 1933 to Howard and Opal (Summers) Holliday. She married Donald R. Pfanz in March of 1952 in Pekin. He preceded her in death, along with her parents, daughter, April Marie Pfanz and brother, Howard Dean Holliday.
She is survived by her daughter, Holly (Tom Camper) Sommer of Peoria; son, Guy (Rebeca) Pfanz of Port Charlotte, FL; grandchildren, Joel (Heather) Sommer of Carmel, IN, April (Paul) Nicol of Frankfort, Misty (Romeo) Martinez of Zionsville, IN and Alma Pfanz of Port Charlotte, FL; and eight great grandchildren.
Norine was a real estate agent for Century 21. After that, she was a missionary for two years. She was passionate about her grandchildren, cooking, gardening, traveling and wintering on Marco Island, FL.
She was a member of Zion Evangelical United Methodist Church in Groveland. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be in Norine’s memory to the ALS Association.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
