Nadine Rae Sturdivant-Aderman, 79, of Peoria, was called home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday March 9, 2022 at the Patrician Home. She was born on September 29, 1942 in Kankakee, IL the daughter of Edward John and Violet (Southey) Speerli.
Nadine is survived by one daughter Cheryl (Tim) O’Brien of Peoria; three sons John (Aimee) Grant of Morton, Dan (Linda) Grant of Marietta, GA, Don (Laurie) Grant of Morton; one brother Randy (Beth) Speerli of Wilmington, NC; seven grandchildren Sheri (Shannon) Lamie, Chicon Grant, Chanelle (Chip) Bates, Shemaiah Jackson, Ashley Grant, Travis (Julie) Grant, Katey Grant; Twenty-two great-grandchildren, two great- great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Aderman, one son Joe Grant, one daughter Shona Williams and one sister Shirley Schneider.
She had a long-standing relationship with God and became an ordained minister. Through her ministry she taught the gospel, inspired through praise worship and brought many hearts to accept Christ often holding services at many local nursing homes. Her gift of praying for others was an undeniable calling from God. She worked as a Licensed Cosmetologist for many years. She was also a caring foster parent for over 30 years to countless children. She loved to create artwork, read her Bible, grow her gorgeous gardens, knit and crochet. She adored her dogs and cherished time visiting with family and friends. Nadine was the matriarch of her family and will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, enduring heart, warm embrace, and unconditional love. Although she will be missed the family will rejoice and celebrate in knowing she is in heaven, dancing on paved streets of gold.
All are welcome for a visitation on Monday March 14, 2022 from 10am to 11am at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. A celebration of life will begin at 11am. Reverend Gary Crull will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Springdale Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend a special thank-you to the Patrician Home for their compassionate and loving care for Nadine during her time there.
