Mary Ellen (Fyke) Yeast, 74, of Peoria Heights, passed away on April 2, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Peoria.
She was born on August 28, 1940 to Willis G. and Tina M. (Greenwalt) Fyke in Peoria.
Mary married Willard "Don" G. Donaldson on July 12, 1963, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1980. She married Michael G. Yeast on April 11, 1992. He preceded her in death on September 29, 2011.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Kelly (Tim) Burris of Peoria Heights, Chris Ellen (Tom) Hathaway of East Peoria, and Beth (Ken) Hanlon of Brimfield; four stepdaughters, Pamela Fenwick of Peoria, Vickie Donaldson of Peoria, Michelle Hayden of Springfield, and Tina Harper of Texas; one stepson, Gary (Cindy) Donaldson; and one brother, Gary W. Fyke of Chillicothe. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Two brothers, Harvey Fyke and Jim Fyke, and her sister, Barbara Holder, preceded her in death.
Mary graduated from Woodruff High School and attended Midstate College. She was a manager at American Rentals Parties Plus, where she worked for 13 years.
She was a member of Charis Life Fellowship Church.
A funeral service for Mary will be held at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 12:00pm. John and Vickie Schmidgall will officiate. Visitation will be 2 hours prior at the funeral home. Burial will be private for family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mary E. Yeast Memorial Fund.
