Mabel A. Wilson, age 83, of Peoria died on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Buehler Home in Peoria.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Glen Oak Christian Church. Rev. Randy Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at the Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home. Burial be held in Parkview Cemetery.
She was born on July 14, 1929 in Blue Earth County, Minnesota the daughter of James and Lois (Fleming) Thompson. She married Arthur L. Wilson on August 3, 1947 in Garden City, MN. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1991.
Mabel worked for Sears for almost 20 years and later volunteered and worked for the American Red Cross for fifteen years.
She was a faithful member of Glen Oak Christian Church, Peoria.
Surviving are her children: Marilyn (John) Strickler of West Peoria, Kathryn (Stanley) Peltzman of Boise, ID, Phillip (Gail) Wilson of Brimfield, nine Grandchildren, twenty Great Grandchildren and two sisters, Mary Tiedeken and Carol (Dean) DeWitz. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter Thompson and one son, James Wilson
Memorials may be made to American Red Cross or to her church.
