Linda Busby

Linda Lou Busby 74, of Peoria passed away on February 13, 2021 at OSF St Francis Medical Center. She was born on August 16, 1946 in Ottumwa, IA the daughter of Shelby C. and Lurla L. (Bohannon) Bennett. She married Derice Busby Sr. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1980.

She is survived by one daughter Melody (Lee) Tyson of Butler, Al; one son Derice (Debbie) Busby Jr of Cuba; three grandchildren Jason Brownlee, Renee Tyson, Lea Ann Tyson, two sisters Betty (John) Thierer of Washburn and Mary Pope of MO.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters Melody Busby, Janet Kalb, Violet Ponzel, Lorine Simpson; two brothers Larry Bennett and Shelby Bennett.

A visitation will be held on Friday February 19, 2021 from 12 to 1pm at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral Service will begin at 1pm Reverend Bill Henry will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
