Larry Stimage, Sr.

Larry D. Stimage, Sr., age 55, of Peoria, passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at his home.

Larry was born on November 25, 1965 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Charles and Elizabeth (Grace) Stimage.  They preceded him death.  Also preceding him in death are one brother, Charles Samuels; two sisters, Bertha Miller and Sharon Stimage; and one niece, Laytonia Miller.

Surviving are his son, Larry Stimage, Jr. of Peoria; one grandson, Ravon Jackson; his fiancé of 17 years, Sally Ann Foster: four brothers, William (Sylvia) Myles, Kinney (Samantha) Myles, Amos Stimage and Melvin (Andrewl) Stimage; four sisters, Georgia Myles, Valerie Johnson-Stimage, Angela Stimage and Barbara Stimage; and many nieces and nephews.  Also surviving is his special friend and mother of his son, Stephanie Harris.

Larry had worked for Calihan Pork Processors in Peoria and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Peoria.  Larry began working at the age of 14 years old and worked until his health declined.  He absolutely loved his only child, Larry Jr. and all his nieces and nephews.  Larry acquired the nickname, “Larry Love,” due to his kind and generous spirit to those he knew.  He had many talents, especially in lawncare and planting beautiful flowers and had plans to start his own business titled, “Larry Love Lawncare.”   Larry will be truly missed by his entire family and friends.

Services will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 11am at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home in Peoria.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  Pastor Thurston Hunt will officiate and Elder Henry Sutton will assist.  Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria immediately following.  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be made through www.cumerfordclary.com
