Judith (Judy) D. Bill 87, of Peoria Heights, Illinois passed away on October 27, 2022 at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on March 19, 1935 in Peoria, IL. The daughter of Glen and Lena (Sutton) Rhoades. Judy married Herman J. Bill Jr. on May 31, 1980 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2014.
She graduated from Woodruff High School Class of 1953. Judy worked for Metropolitan Life (retired) for many years; was the owner of Judy’s Gift Shop located in the Hotel Pere Marquette and Holiday Inn and retired from Kepple & Co/HCH Administration. Her memberships include being the President of Flamelighters Chapter of American Business Women, Elks Lodge # 20, The Red Hat Revolution, Teamsters, lifetime member of Peoria Sportsman Club, several bowling leagues and a Girl Scout and Brownie mom leader. Judy enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, computer-tablet games, card games of all types, loved parades, flowers and flower gardens, baking (she made the best chocolate chip cookies), loved her doggies and time with friends especially lunch with her Woodruff classmates. She especially loved and adored her grandkids and great grandkids. Judy loved when Jessica would come get her to take her for a ride and spend one on one time with her. She loved her family and friends very much.
Judy is survived by her children Linda (Ralph) Turner of Parrish, FL, Thomas (Peggy) Carter of Gurnee, IL, James (Sherryl) Carter of Peoria Heights, IL, Karen (John) Snider of Mardela Springs, MD, stepchildren Jeff (Juli) Bill of Mapleton, Doug (Jenny) Bill of Bartonville; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers Jackie and Dick Rhoades and one stepson Michael Bill.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home in Peoria, IL. Burial will be held on November 12, 2022 at 11am in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL.
