John Allen Ford Sr

John Allen Ford Sr., 70, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medial Center in Peoria. He was born on July 15, 1952 in Peoria, IL the son of Ralph and Goldie (Weber) Ford. John married Hilda Goins on June 3, 1971 in Peoria.

He worked as a bartender for many years in the Peoria area.

John is survived by one daughter Leann Goins-Ford of Peoria; one son John Ford Jr. of Peoria; three brothers Fred (Mary) Ford of Russellville, Al, Jack (Sue) Ford of Peoria, Aaron Ford of Peoria; two sisters Sally (Harvey) Bennett of Mesa, AZ, Lorretta “Nancy” Floyd of Chouteau, OK; one sister-in-law Ida Ford of Burleson TX; four grandchildren Steven (Kayle) Colvin of FL, Kayla Colvin (Armando Antunez) of East Peoria, Jayden Ford of Pekin, Rylee of Peoria and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers Ralph and Ross Ford; one sister Bonnie Ford; one sister-in-law Shelia Ford and one brother-in-law Jerry Floyd.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday March 2, 2023 at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria starting at 1:00pm. Pastor Jim McClarey will officiate the service.
