Joanne Frances Kohler, nee Noe, age 78, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, IL.
Joanne was born on November 24, 1934 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Henry Noe, Sr. and Anne (Lichtenwald) Ranney. She grew up in Peoria, but lived most of her adult life in Washington, IL.
Joanne is survived by her son, Donald Kohler of Washington, Illinois; three daughters, Christine (Owen) McGreevey of Naperville, Illinois, Mary Jo (David) Mills of Morton, Illinois and Sara Anne (Bruce) Decker of Normal, Illinois; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry (Carolyn) Noe, Jr. of Morton, Illinois and Clarence (Nancy) Noe of Washington, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Joanne graduated from Illinois Central College in 1974. She was a homemaker and worked as a cashier for CVS for 15 years. Joanne was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief & Canteen.
Services will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave., Peoria, IL. Rev. Dennis O'Brien will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Springdale Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
