Jean Brentz

Jean C. Brentz, 81, of Peoria, passed away at 6:12 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Toulon Health Care.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Northwoods Community Church, with Pastor Dave Bucknam officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
Jean was born on June 5, 1934 in Peoria, a daughter of Charles Clifford and Mayme (Boyer) Doubet. They preceded her in death, along with a granddaughter, Alison Heth, and sister, Marilyn Steiger. She was formerly married to Jim Brentz.
She is survived by her son, Chuck (Betsy) Brentz of Evanston; daughter, Lisa (Alan) Heth of Edwards; grandchildren, Craig and Caroline Brentz and Casey Heth and Angela (Blake) Bauer; great grandchildren, Isaac and Levi Bauer; and sister, Carol (Gail) Cowser.
Jean attended Northwoods Community Church. She retired as a Science teacher for Mark Bills Middle School and was formerly a Home Economics teacher for Peoria Central High School.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s name to Northwoods Community Church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
