James Moyer

James “Jim” A. Moyer, 61, of East Peoria, passed away at 11:21 a.m. on Monday, September 4, 2017 at Unity Point Proctor in Peoria.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
Jim was born on October 22, 1955 in Peoria, the only child of Harold and Imogene (Meischner) Moyer. His father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his mother of East Peoria; uncles, Charles Meischner of Metamora and Robert Meischner of Dunlap; and his beloved dog, Chance.
Jim began his own business, Moyer Electronics, Inc., when he was 16 years old and operated it up until his death. He built and set up squad cars and also the Homeland Security vehicles. He was a member of the Tremont Gun Club. He was a Lieutenant in the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Auxiliary.
Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
