Hazel Dotson

Hazel Diane Dotson 71, of Peoria, transitioned from earth to glory on May 9, 2022 at Unity Point Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born on April 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Robert Lee and Evergreen (Pitts) Dotson.

She worked at Sharon Woods Health Care in Peoria as a CNA for many years and retired from SC2 as a Material Analyst Supervisor. She loved spending time with her family and most of all her grandchildren. Hazel leaves to cherish her everlasting memories to her children:  Allen Fitzpatrick Jr (Stevo) and Evergreen Dotson of Peoria; two brothers: Jerry Dotson of Chicago, IL, Harold Dotson of Springfield, IL; two sisters: Gwendolyn Dotson of Power Springs, GA and Cynthia Dotson of Union City, GA; 18 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly.

Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, sister Rosetta (Shorty) Dotson and son Von Fitzpatrick.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 20, 2022 at 12pm at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. Cremation Rites will follow the visitation.
