Harrie Merrill Lawton, 75, died at OSF Medical Center on April 19, 2014.
He was born to Richard Lawton and Anne (Lipnicki) Lawton in Boston, Massachusetts on July 31, 1938. Harrie married Suzanne Tully on November 19, 1960 in Dallas, Texas.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne, who resides in Peoria, one daughter, Jennifer (Dann) Rawls of Dunlap, one son, Paul Merrill Lawton of Peoria, one grandson, Maximilian Rawls, and one granddaughter, Annabelle Lee Rawls, both of Dunlap. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Harrie graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, TX and earned a Bachelor's Degree at Texas Tech University for Mechanical Engineering. He went on to work as an engineer for Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth, Texas.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held in Dallas, Texas at a later date.
