Harley Truman Summers

Harley Truman Summers, 77, of Peoria Heights, Illinois passed away on Tuesday February 28, 2023 at UnityPoint Methodist Medical Center of Peoria. He was born on April 19, 1945 in Adkin, Illinois the son of Harley Waller and Sylvia (Holman) Summers. Harley married Barbara June Pressler on June 5, 1965 in Benton, Illinois. She preceded him in death on February 14, 2015.

He worked for the Pabst Brewery for fourteen years and later retired from Caterpillar Inc Building KK after twenty plus years of service. Harley enjoyed car shows and spending time with family and friends.

Harley is survived by four children Michael (Kaitlyn Harris) Summers of Peoria Heights, IL, Barry Summers of Galatia, IL, Larry Summers of FL, Barbie Summers of Peoria Heights, IL; one sister June Kathy Summers of IA and fourteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one daughter Karen (Summers) Echo; siblings Betty Jean Summers, Jessie Ronald Summers, William Ira Summers and Harold Dale Summers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday March 7, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 01:00 pm at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 01:00 pm. Pastor Thomas Myers will officiate the service. Cremation Rites will follow the services.
