Guadalupe Valadez, age 90, of Peoria passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria.
Guadalupe was born to Francisco C. and Antonia (Cedillo) Dominguez on November 19, 1925 in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She married Jesus E. Valadez on December 15, 1942 in Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico. He survives.
Also surviving are her children, Bertha, Maria Luisa, Fernando, Carlos, Gustavo, Alejandro, Elia, Rolando, Juan, Cecilia, Adrian, and Luis, and their spouses; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Francisco Dominguez, and sister in law, Julia Dominguez.
Guadalupe enjoyed serving God and was a full believer in Jesus Christ. She was a member at First United Methodist Church in Peoria. In her free time, Guadalupe enjoyed cooking and serving others.
It was Guadalupe's wish to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church, 116 NE Perry Ave. in Peoria on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 6:30 PM. Reverend Adrian M. Garcia will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Guadalupe may be made to Cristo Viene Church of the Nazarene in Mexico MO. She always supported the Hispanic Ministries.
