Genevieve “Ginnyren” Fortney, 32, of Peoria, passed away at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2012, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one-hour prior to services at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded, following services.
Ginnyren was born in Peoria on August 4, 1979, a daughter of Kenneth A. Fortney Sr. and Ann L. Pine.
She is survived by her mother, of Peoria; brothers, Phillip Bailey, Jr. of Peoria, Jeffrey Bailey of Peoria, David (Sandy) Bailey of Kentucky, Kenneth A. Fortney II of Phoenix, AZ and Chad Fortney of Peoria; and sister, Brenda Vinson of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her faithful companion, Boneyez.
Ginnyren graduated from Peoria High School in 1998, was a member of Northwoods Community Church, was employed at the Community Workshop Training Center and was a Greenbay Packers fan.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ginnyren’s memory to Northwoods Community Church.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue, in Peoria.
