Eva Davis

Eva Mae Davis, 86, of Peoria, passed away at 2:40 p.m. on Monday, November 12, 2012, at Heartland of Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Fr. Don Henderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Eva Mae was born in Peoria on July 16, 1926, the daughter of William Cleveland and Verda Mae (Smith) Hartley. She married Vay “Glenn” Davis in Peoria on January 31, 1953. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1992 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William Dale Hartley.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Bill) White of Nashville, IN; son, Ross M. (Amy) Davis of Peoria; grandson, Tyler M. Davis of Naperville; and granddaughter, Carly Anne Davis of Peoria.
Eva Mae graduated from Farmington High School in 1944 and was a member of Forrest Hill United Methodist Church in Peoria.
She retired in 1985 from administration with Caterpillar, Inc. Corporate Headquarters in downtown Peoria.
Eva Mae enjoyed photography and participating in Veteran’s events, because of her husband’s military experience. After her retirement, she enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed life and was very independent.
