Emil Hollenbeck

Emil M. Von Hollenbeck, 89, of West Peoria, passed away at 9:07 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012, at his home surrounded by his wife and family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 W. Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Pastor Paul Isom officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Emil was born in Peoria on May 10, 1923, a son of Emil and Emma (Schaefer) Von Hollenbeck. They preceded him in death along with three sisters.
He married Shirley Watt on October 18, 1944 in Peoria. She survives.
Emil is also survived by four daughters, Donna (Wayne) Farnham of Connellsville PA, Peggy (Roger) Gray of Creve Coeur, Vicki (Robbie) Mitchell of Mapleton and Toni (Jack) Chalmers of Metamora; one sister, Jeanette Morris of Ft. Worth, TX; seven granddaughters; two grandsons; and several great grandchildren.
Emil worked as a union painter for the Peoria Housing Authority.
Memorial contributions may be made in Emil’s memory to Hospice Compassus.
