Eldora Vobroucek

Eldora C. Vobroucek, 93, of Peoria died on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at
Unity Point Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.
She was born on April 5, 1921, in Morton, IL, the daughter of Carl F. and
Anna (Reinken) Miller. She married Calvin A. Vobroucek on June 20,
1943, in Pekin, IL, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Surviving are her husband, Calvin A. Vobroucek; daughter, Suzanne (David) Ware of Pueblo, CO; son, Richard (Deborah) Vobroucek of Highland Mills, NY; six grandchildren, Sean (Stephanie) Ware of Chicago, Il, Stephanie Ware of Pueblo, CO,
Maria (Vincent) Zeoli of Washingtonville, NY, Cristina Vobroucek
of White Plains, NY, Chad Vobroucek of Highland Mills, NY, Dan Vobroucek
of Highland Mills, NY; eight great grandchildren, Brielle, Alanna, and
Nadia Jackson of Pueblo, CO, Isabella, Angelina, Elena, and Ava Zeoli of
Washingtonville, NY, and Caleb Vobroucek of Stratford, CT; one great great
granddaughter, Caylee M. Vobroucek of Stratford, CT; a sister, Laurel (James)
Sharp of Springfield, MO, and, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers,Yale and Gene Miller,
and one sister Anita Miller Grooss.
Eldora graduated from Northwestern University in 1943 with a Bachelor's
degree in Music Education and belonged to Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority. She
was a member of Chapter GS of the P.E.O. Sisterhood; Methodist Hospital Service
League and United Presbyterian Church.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the
United Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Rev. Stephen McKinney-Whitaker
will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 5-7:00 PM at
Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home located at 428 West McClure Avenue, Peoria.
Burial will take place at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Memorials may be
made to United Presbyterian Church Choir Endowment or the charity of
your choice in her name.
