Delois Ann “Dee” Drake, 67, of Peoria, passed away at 8:08 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with visitation one hour prior to services.
Delois was born on October 9, 1945 in Coffeyville, KS, the daughter of Leroy and Velma (Bryant) Drake. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tracy Brown, and brothers, William Donald Drake and Millard D. Graham. She married Tyrone B. Brown, Sr. in June of 1963 in Wichita, KS. They were later divorced.
She is survived by her special friend and life-long partner, Loretta Tillman; son, Tyrone B. Brown, Jr. of Peoria; grandson, Tyrone B. Brown III of Peoria; great granddaughter, Tatianna Kay Brown of Peoria; sisters, Deborah Holt (Lee) Womack of Decatur, GA, Barbara (Jessie) Finney of Wichita, KS and Marsha (Travis) French of Dallas, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, god children and friends.
Delois was a personal assistant with the Department of Rehabilitation Services and a member of the Service Employees International Union.
