David Alan Brender, 70 of Peoria, died at 9:44 p.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., noon, Thursday February 9, 2017 at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Deacon Gary Shultz will officiate. Visitation will be two hours prior to services from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum.
David was born December 10, 1946 in Peoria to John C. and Violet (Mavrinac) Brender. He married Lynn Siebels on September 3, 1983 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Michele (Jeff) Lee of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Scot Brender of Missouri; one grandson, Seth (Cassidy) Lee and one granddaughter, Brooke Lee both of Indianapolis, IN; and his beloved dog Sebastian.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
David was a United States Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War.
He was an avid pool player in Peoria for 45 years.
He worked as a technical engineer for IBM for 30 years retiring in 1996.
