Cecelia Copeland

Cecelia A. Copeland 84, of Peoria (formerly of Moline) passed away Saturday July 24, 2021. She was born on September 26, 1936 in Exline, IA the daughter of Warren P. and Hazel (Hollenbeck) Jennings. She married Dr. John D. Copeland MD in June 1975. He preceded her in death in June 2002.

She attended the Methodist School of Nursing where she achieved a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. She went on to work as a Registered Nurse for Methodist Hospital Private Practice for many years. Cecelia was a member of the Peoria Medical Alliance, Peoria Medical Association, Daughters of the Nile, Eastern Star and P.E.O.

Cecelia is survived by her two sons John D. Garber, Eric J. Garber, one daughter Christine A. (Garber) Meiser and one brother Warren P. Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. Memorial service to be held at a later date.
