Carol Miller

Carol Miller, 100, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria.

Carol was born to Clinton and Nina (Denton) Clark on September 12, 1914 in Petersburg. She married John Miller in Peoria, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Carol is survived by one son, John (Joy) Miller of Grants Pass, OR; two grandchildren, William Miller of Richmond, CA, and Kristine (Richard) Gomberg of San Diego, CA; and two great-granchildren, Jennifer Gomberg and Ryan Gomberg, both of San Diego, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Carol was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making sure they were well taken care of. She was an accomplished china painter and a member of the Peoria County Homemakers Extension Association.

A funeral service for Carol will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home, 428 W. McClure Ave. in Peoria. Pastor Paul Park will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.

Memorials in honor of Carol may be made to Lutheran Hillside Village Benevolence Fund.
