Carol Kaps

Carol Ann Kaps, 72, of Peoria, passed away at 2:28 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at her home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Pastor Kirk Moser officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Carol was born on December 20, 1941 in Peoria, the daughter of Calvin K. and Dorothy Marie (Fisher) Cain. She married Franklin Kaps on January 21, 1961 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on February 9, 1997 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Richard and Jerry Cain.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine (John) Williams of Smyrna, TN; son, Frank D. (Jeannie) Kaps of Peoria; grandsons, J.J. (Crystal) Williams of Smyrna, TN, Matthew (Kari Hiell) Kaps of Normal and Michael Kaps of Peoria; one great grandson; and brother, Pete Cain, of Eagle River, AK.
Carol was formerly employed with Oxford Building Services in Peoria and was a member of The Pentecostals of Peoria on Malone.
She loved playing bingo, watching St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, collecting salt and pepper shakers and trolls and spending time with her cat and neighbors. She was a good mother and a loving and caring person.
