Carol Conn

Carol Ann Conn, age 70, of Hanna City passed away at UnityPoint Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

Carol was born to Walter Eli and Myra Dell (Cramer) Conn, Sr. on December 9, 1945 at their family farm in Hanna City. She married Gary Zinser on September 9, 1992 at Mt. Olive Missionary Church in Peoria. He survives.

Also surviving is her sister, Mary (Robert) Wageman of Hanna City; nephews, Robert Wageman and Dale (Marjorie) Wageman, both of Hanna City; niece, Amy Whinnery; and numerous cousins and nieces.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Walter Eli Conn, Jr.

Carol graduated from Farmington High School in 1964 and went on to work for Peoria County Nursing Home, Fleming Potter, and later, provided loving care for her parents as they aged.

She was a member of the Hanna City Sportsman's Club, enjoyed traveling to Wisconsin, and loved her ten cats. She spent her life supporting animal welfare, gardening, and living on Conn Farm.

A funeral service for Carol will be held at Mt. Olive Missionary Church in Peoria on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Pastor Mark Douras will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will be held in Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli.

Memorials in honor of Carol may be made to the Peoria Humane Society or her church.
