Candis Reising
July 3, 1948 — March 20, 2012
Candis L. Reising, 63, of Germantown Hills, passed away at 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Germantown Hills, with Fr. Neri Greskoviak celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at the church. Interment will be in St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date.
Candis was born in Peoria on July 3, 1948, a daughter of John and Beth (Cunningham) Sinclair. They preceded her in death. She married Steven J. Reising on July 17, 1970 at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Peoria. He survives.
She is also survived by her sons, Christopher (Melissa) Reising of Metamora and Mark (Nicole) Reising of Peoria Heights; granddaughter, Megan Reising of Peoria Heights; step grandsons, Brandon and Colton Force of Peoria Heights; brother, Terry (Pat) Sinclair of Pittsfield, MA; sister, Pam (Lee) Steger of Brimfield; nephew, Bruce Steger; and nieces, Kim McLain and Amanda Smallberger.
Candis retired in May of 2006, after over thirty years of service, as an Information Operator for AT&T. She was a parishioner of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in Germantown Hills.
She enjoyed reading, cooking, collecting Lenox figurines, shopping and spending time in her kitchen. She was a feisty, strong willed and loving woman, who had a tremendous love and dedication to her family, especially her boys and granddaughter.
