Cameron Fritz

Cameron James Fritz, 29, of Peoria, passed away at 2:22 p.m. on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with the Reverend Robert Sathuri officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, prior to services at the funeral home.
Cameron was born in Mendota on January 18, 1983, a son of James F. Fritz and Marilyn (Bennett) Fritz. They survive.
He is also survived by his brother, Ross (Melissa) Fritz of Vail, AZ; nephew, Austin, who called him Uncle Cramron; niece, Emily, who always smiled when she saw him; half-brothers, Jim (Nicole) Fritz, Jr., Tom (Alicia) Fritz and Ed (Stacey) Fritz; half-sisters, Rose (Rick) Michelsen and Rebecca Fritz; several half-nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; maternal grandmother, Aletha Bennett; and his best buds, Michael “Herrmann Munster” Herrmann and Buddy Dog. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa Bennett and Leader Dog.
Cameron graduated from Richwoods High School in 2001 and earned an Accounting Degree from Bradley University.
He was a Customer Support Specialist for HGS, formerly Afina. He was formerly employed as an Internal Auditor for the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, MD.
Cameron had a competitive spirit and enjoyed playing in Frisbee Golf Tournaments, World of Warcraft and umpiring and refereeing soccer, Frisbee Golf and baseball. He was a classically trained pianist, under the tutelage of Raimundo Marquez II and, at the age of eight years old, he played a ten page Heiden Sonata for recital. He was a born again Christian and was currently attending Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
He was going to sing in “A Grace Family Christmas” this week. Cameron loved his family and was so proud of his cousin, Tech Sgt Elliott D. Crofton USAF, who will be attending the funeral service from Kiev Ukraine.
The family would like to thank Dr. George Gilbert for his compassion and sincere care; all of the staff at Proctor Hospital Emergency Room and OSF Adult Cardiac unit for their heroic efforts; Dr. Mueller for his professionalism and care; and aunt Susan and aunt Berny, who are still listening.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cameron’s memory to the Grace Presbyterian Building Fund.
