Bruce Lytle

Bruce Laban Lytle, age 52, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011.

Bruce was born on April 19, 1959 in Peoria, Illinois to L. Ferrel and Carol Fay (Land) Lytle. He married his soul mate, Jill Ellyn Elliott on April 11, 1992 in Peoria, Illinois.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Jill; his daughter, Kaitlyn Rae; his parents; his sisters, Nancy (Bill) VanNattan of Peoria, Illinois, Cindy Lytle of Rock Island, Illinois and Beth (Dan) Osterman of Rock Island, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; several friends and his cat, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his step-mother, Mary Alice Lytle and his infant twin brothers.

Bruce worked as a Service Technician for Comcast. Bruce had a wonderful sense of humor and his family never tired of recycling funny stories about him. Bruce could fix anything and kept trying until he got it right. In addition to his family, his passion was the outdoors. He could spot an arrowhead, catch a fish and bag a deer all in one day. Bruce was a fun and loving husband, father, brother, son and friend and was the first to lend a hand to anyone.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 3pm at First Federated Church in Peoria. Rev. Forrest Krummel will be officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service also at the church. In lieu of flowers, an education fund has established for Bruce?s daughter, Kaitlyn, at CEFCU.
