Arthur Watkins

Mr. Arthur Leon Watkins, 64, of Peoria passed away on Monday, June 06, 2022, at Accolade Healthcare of Peoria.  He was born on June 15, 1957, in Greenville, MS to Ernestine (Watkins) Jackson.

He enjoyed playing cards, watching western movies and sports. Arthur worked at ADM in Peoria for many years.

Mr. Watkins is survived by one son, Terrance (Kimberly) Watkins of Iowa City, IA and siblings: Terri (Stanley) Pates of Peoria, IL; Gladys Watkins of Iowa City, IA; Tanya Jackson of Peoria, IL; Erica Jackson of Peoria, IL; Mary Harris of Peoria, IL; Gregory Watkins of Chicago, IL; Charles Harris of Peoria, IL; Robert Harris of Peoria, IL; five grandchildren Torquesia,Jahkira, Destinee, Cormarion and Kieyle, one great-grandson Kacey and a host of nieces and nephews and his best friend Jimmy Johnson.

Mr. Watkins is preceded in death by his mother; daughter, Tywan Watkins; one brother, Don Watkins; and three sisters, Mercie Harris, Willie Anne Williams, Bertha Johnson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 11 am-12 noon at Cumerford-Clary Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12 noon. Cremated rites will follow the service.                    ​
