Albert (Al) D. Musgrove, 90, of East Peoria passed away at 3:27 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015. He was born on Oct. 2, 1924 in Mankato, KS to Orley and Susie Dickson Musgrove. He married Betty J. Fouts on Jan. 26, 1946, in Peoria.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Rick) Brown of East Peoria; his son Kenneth (Donna) Musgrove of Moline; 4 granddaughters; Rayme (Justin) Johansen of Castle Rock, CO; Rena, Kenzi and Kristen Musgrove, all of Peoria; 2 grandsons; Nathan (Jami) Brown of Washington and Trevor (Desirea) Brown of East Peoria; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, David Musgrove, and 3 sisters, Marie Conyers, Nina Todd, and Shirley Lewis, all of Kansas, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, his parents, son Dennis, grandson Joshua, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
He served in the Army during WWII as an engineer and also served as chaplain when needed.
He retired from the Ag Lab in Peoria in 1990. After retiring he worked several years as a bagger at local grocery stores.
"Pastor Al" was a member of Peoria First Assembly of God for over 60 years where he faithfully served in all areas of the church.
His life was centered around his faith and family. He lived every day to honor God and it showed in everything he did and said. He will be greatly missed but is now rejoicing with his Lord.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., with funeral following at 11:00 a.m., on Friday March 6, 2015 at Peoria First Assembly of God.
