Nancy Moore

Nancy Jo Moore 79, of Peoria passed away on July 25, 2021 at Generations at Peoria. She was born on February 20, 1942 in Peoria the daughter of Howard W. and Loretta (Freitik) Binns Jr. She married Terry Moore on June 16, 1962 in Peoria. He preceded her in death.

She worked as a lunch lady at Columbia Middle School for 15 years. She then worked as a dog groomer for 10 years and finally as a printer for the Peoria Journal Star.

Nancy is survived by two sons Dean Moore of Peoria, Michael (Michelle) Moore of Homer Glen, one granddaughter Marissa Moore and one sister Jerrie (Eldwin “AL”) Giese of Hot Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Nancy was an avid fan of horses and dog training. In her youth she barrel raced horses.

A visitation will be held on Thursday July 29, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at Cumerford Clary Funeral Home. A private burial will be held on Friday July 30, 2021 at Springdale Cemetery. Pastor Stephen Barch will officiate the service.
