Mary Louise Howard, 83, of Peoria, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at her home at St. Sharbel Village II in Peoria.
She was born on August 29, 1930 in Earlham, IA, the daughter of Clifton and Margaret (Thompson) Hamilton. She married Donald E. Howard in 1947 in Lebanon, MO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Phyllis Hamilton, Helen Hamilton and Virginia A. Patton; and her daughter, Donna S. Picton.
She is survived by her brother, Galen E. Hamilton of Newport, OR; her son, Richard (Jeannette) Howard; her daughter, Margaret “Becky” (James) Nugent of Matteson; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She worked for over thirty years as a cook for the Dixie Manor restaurant and was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
As she requested, there will be no public visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Crittenton Centers in Peoria.
